On the afternoon of April 20, 2021, the Association of French Localities (Cités unies France - CUF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam held a mid-term webinar on cooperation between Vietnamese and French localities with the theme: direction of cooperation between Vietnamese and French localities in the current context, the role of e-administration - digitization”.
Attending the seminar at bridge points in Vietnam and France, there were Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, Director of the European Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Mr. Jean Claude Dardelet, Chairman of the Vietnam Group at CUF; French Ambassador to Hanoi Nicolas Warnery and representatives of provinces and cities of the two countries.
Attending the seminar at Yen Bai bridge point, there were Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang – Vice Chairman of the PPC and representatives of some related agencies.
The conference was held online on the Zoom platform with 2 topics: (i) Urban management to respond to climate change and electronic - digitization administrative application presented by Mr. Quentin Lebegue, Head of the Urban and Social Affairs Division, French Development Agency in Vietnam and (ii) Enhance the unique cultural and heritage values of the locality to increase the attractiveness, competition, and application of electronic - digitalization administration in the post-COVID context presented by Mr. Cung Duc Han, Vice Director of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO Affairs.
Also at the seminar, representatives of a number of provinces and cities in Vietnam, including Yen Bai province, gave speeches and expressed their desire to cooperate with France on the development of an electronic administrative platform, digitalization data, especially in the context of the COVID epidemic, the application of 4.0 technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital technology is also emphasized to develop communication and stimulate remote interaction with users. Vietnamese localities also affirmed their wish that France would be the main partner in supporting and cooperating in digital transformation of tourism data, attractive attractions, and building a digital museum. exploit and promote culture and heritage, towards the sustainable development of the local tourism industry.
